The highly acclaimed Fender® Select series introduces an all-new lineup for 2013. These finely crafted guitars and basses put decades of Fender expertise on display, with elegant features and design options for discerning musicians everywhere. Experience the latest figured tops, beautiful finishes, choice tone woods, figured and quartersawn maple necks with compound-radius fingerboards, an innovative new "inlaid" fingerboard design on two of the models, specially voiced pickups, and several new first-rate features that mark Fender's top-line best as remarkable instruments.
A striking new Jazzmaster® model joins the Fender Select lineup in the powerful, gorgeous and light form of the Fender Select Carved Maple Top Jazzmaster HH. A distinctive high-end version of a venerable Fender classic, it boasts a potent pair of new Wide Range Special humbucking pickups and a "channel-bound" rosewood fingerboard—a brand-new Fender innovation in which the compound-radius (9.5"-14") rosewood fingerboard is "inlaid" into the thick modern "C"-shaped maple neck. In addition to creating a stylish new look, it imparts an amazingly comfortable fretting-hand feel in which both edges are pleasingly rounded, with no side seam between neck and fingerboard.
The Fender Select Carved Maple Top Jazzmaster HH also has a chambered alder body with a carved flame maple top in elegant hand-stained Cayenne Burst and Twilight Burst finishes with gloss-lacquer topcoat. Other premium features include a hand-rubbed oil neck finish, 21 medium jumbo frets and white pearloid block fingerboard inlays, three-way toggle pickup switching, heavy-knurled chrome controls with tone-knob S-1™ switch for even greater tonal versatility, Bi-Flex™ truss rod system, Adjusto-Matic™ bridge with stop tailpiece, deluxe staggered locking tuners and Fender Select headstock medallion.

love the feel, color, sound and the humbuckers. Own 15, med. to high end guitars and this is quickly to become one of my favorites. Not your classic jazzmaster, for some good, for others not so good. Well worth trying out.

I've been a guitar player for over 40 years. I have one Fender amp, two Strats, one Tele and 18 other guitar friends. This new Jazzmaster makes number 22. The new Fender select Jazzmaster is a guitar that is easy to play and has the tones I was looking for. Keep in mind I have some beater axes but I also own some one of a kind custom made guitars. This new Jazzmaster has tone to spare and fits a new niche for blues and good classic rock and yes, Jazz. The C-shape neck is great for my, somewhere north of 25, hands and makes this guitar a breeze to play. I also found these Fender Humbuckers to my liking. For me they fit nicely between the Duncans, Gibsons and TV Jones that I already know and love. The Cayenne color of this carved maple top beauty is great. The newly designed channeled neck is not only good looking but is smooth as glass. The fit and finish is as good as my custom made axes and they are most excellent. I know this may grind on the nerves of older Jazzmaster owners, and I don't intend for it to, but I never did really like all the bells and whistles on the older ones. This new model has enough toys on it to create your tone without carrying an owner's manual in your pocket. This is one smokin' axe and yes, I think it looks great.
