I bought this guitar when I went to Dublin
And was looking for a 72 deluxe. When I got
There they did not have one in stock but I
Noticed this. I looked and couldn't find
Any difference except the tremolo. I played
It and fell in love. I bought it for roughly the
Same price as the 72 and even played it on
The train ride home. The only problem I can
Fault with it is that the tremolo was too high
And no matter what I did I couldn't bring it down.
But it is perfect for what I play( snow patrol, coldplay,
Rhcp, and some blues). I think the possitives far outway
The negatives and so a great buy.
This guitar has such a versatility of sounds it can produce on any half decent tube amp. It is the single most incredible guitar I have ever played for its value. The whammy bar is a nice addition as it not many other Tele Deluxe players will have on their guitar and it is very comfortably placed, however it hits the volume and tone knobs as you screw it in and out. The pickups are perfect for a hard, grungy sound when set to the bridge pickup and also have a very soft capabilities when on the neck pickup. The humbuckers are ideal for the music I play. However, I found the screws holding the strap in place came loose very easily after only one month of playing it with the strap and sadly one came out so there is a dent on the bottom of the guitar and a groove down the neck. I would definitely buy another provided I had enough money as the feel of the guitar is unrivalled for the money.

This guitar is brilliant! It covers such a range of sounds, and works extremely well with pedals and amps to further its versatility. The neck is very comfortable, large enough to get a proper grip but not so huge as to restrict playing. It sounds great for nearly all styles of music, and the pickups have a good depth of tone, and combinations of settings on the guitar and pedal chain/amp recreate a vast number of popular tones. It stays in tune very well, and is balanced well for playing standing and sitting. The only design issue I have found with it after nearly 3 years, is that in order to remove the whammy bar for transport in a case, it doesn't fit over the pots when screwing in or out-annoying, but not a major issue.
