Sweet guitar! Recently purchased one in Titanium Silver. First thing that grabs you is the stunning body finish. Right up there with the American Standards and Specials in regards to workmanship and aesthetic appeal. The next thing is the outstanding build quality, great pickups, very good electronics, excellent appointments. The urethane neck finish is even and smooth, rosewood board also even and smooth. The medium jumbo frets feel great on this neck. This Stratocaster sounds incredible and plays like a dream.
Even though the guitar arrived with a good factory setup, I performed a complete setup once it arrived. The stock string gauge is 9's but I prefer 10's. Got it to where I like the action, floated the trem how I like it, etc... This thing's amazing. I've already already played eight gigs with it. The more I play this guitar the more I love it! Holds it's own alongside my '62 AVRI Stratocaster only without the 60 cycle hum (except for position 3 which is the tele pup in the middle... which is a smokin' single coil in it's own right). The humbuckers are clear, ballsy, warm and punchy. A quality vintage style hot PAF pickup. They're great for Rock and take amp gain and overdrive/distortion nicely as well as provide outstanding cleaner tones ideal for Blues, Country, Funk, etc.. This guitar truly is a tone monster.
If you have been thinking about a getting a "Hot Rodded," "Tricked Out" type of Strat, you want to consider one of these. They're just as good as the American Standards and Specials at about half the price. Only thing that could use an upgrade are the bridge saddles but hey, at this price point there's no reason to knock anything off of the outstanding quality you're getting with everything else. It's a "Pro Quality" instrument. If you haven't checked one out... go ahead do it. You'll more than likely want to take it home with you.

My shiny new Blacktop HSH arrived on Monday this week (it is now Friday). Apart from going to work late every day, I have been doing not much else but getting to know my new toy. It might be made in Mexico (I live in Brisbane, Australia), but this thing is the goods. The workmanship is as good as anything that I have played and in silver, it simply looks cool. I plan on lowering the action a tad when I get a moment this weekend, but other than that, this thing is pretty nice to play. The sound from the factory Humbuckers is what I was looking for and switching to single Tele is bringing something out in me that I haven't felt for a while. A few beers with a mate last night and we have a couple of new tunes in the bag. I like this guitar a lot already and with a little fiddling and love, it is going to be weapons grade. Go buy one. I think you will be happy that you did.

I recently picked up a titanium silver black top stratocaster mainly for the feel and the color, the color reminded me of some of the earlier Clapton signature strats.
I didn't care too much for the pickups, sorry fender, I swapped out the pickguard and the pickups for Fender N3 noiseless pickups, now this guitar is awesome.
Fender did a universal (pool route) under the pickguard, so you have endless possibilities if you want to change the pickups out.
it plays nice and fast after a good setup, it has the classic big block tremolo which is an added plus.
overall it is a great guitar, but I wish fender would offer this color on more of their guitars, they do have a similar color offered on an american series, but not everyone has deep pockets.

Stratocaster with humbuckers and one single has power and sound that I have been looking for a long time. In this price range there is no better guitar for rock, metal or any other heavy sounds. If you are looking for an ax to crush the stones grab this one!!!

So I don't claim to be an awesome guitarist (yet) or anything, But I picked one of these bad boys up for my birthday and am in a state of "wow." I've gotten to play on american made strats before, they were classic, awesome peices of hardware, and I owned a squier previous to purchasing this guitar.
The tone this bad boy gives off is clean and precise. I absolutely love how it sounds, with any setting on the pickup switch. I've seen some folks are not impressed with the telecaster pickup but I think that's silly talk. The tele pickup gives the guitar a heck of a lot more robust-ness and is a super versatile guitar. 5/5 easy.
Thanks Fender for making a heck of a product.

At last Fender has a fairly inexpensive strat with beefier humbuckers. They won't give you the same chunk as guitars with mahogany bodies, but they sound really good and can get plenty oomph and squeal with distortion, boost and compression. Plus you get the usual strat neck that is the easiest playing of all for me. Nice frets and simple appointments. This guitar gives you great bang for the buck. Black finish is nice.
