I am a huge fan of the Geddy Lee jazz bass, mainly because of the awesome neck, so when this bass was released I wanted one. I tried one in my local music shop and although a weeny bit wider, the neck was as heavenly to play as the Geddy, plus it had great vintage p-bass tone. The white one was the one I was after - very Paul Simonon/Sid Vicious - and as luck would have it I found one on ebay for a bargain price. I tend to always modify my basses and I replaced the bridge with a Babicz, which wasn't strictly speaking necessary but to take full advantage of the gorgeous p-bass tone I strung it with flatwounds and I use it mainly for soul/Motown/funk and blues. I have another Squier p-bass for punk/rock/etc. and also a lovely Japanese 51 reissue (now discontinued) that is strung with flatwounds and mainly used for blues, but it's this p-bass that I use the most. It is heaven to play and really the only p-bass you will ever need. Highly recommended!
