The Jaguar Bass

The most successful and acclaimed Fender bass guitar model since the Precision and the Jazz, the Jaguar Bass is a modern-day favorite among players everywhere. Stylishly chromed-out, loaded with controls and offering enormous tonal versatility and power, Jaguar Bass models represent the best in contemporary Fender bass innovation, delivering any combination of muscle and finesse today's bassists could want.

History

Introduced in 2006, the Jaguar Bass gave a stylish design nod to 1962's Fender Jaguar guitar while firmly establishing itself as the most successful Fender bass design in the half century since the Precision and the Jazz. With its sleek, chromed-out look, wealth of onboard controls and great tonal versatility, it was such a bass hit that it quickly proliferated into specialized variations including short-scale and humbucking-pickup-equipped models.

Sleek Jaguar Body

The Jaguar Bass has a sleek and comfortable contoured body that stylishly evokes its 1962 electric guitar ancestor.

Slim Neck, Stylish Fingerboard

Jaguar basses features slim, fast necks and maple and rosewood fingerboards, with stylish block inlays and traditional dot inlays.

Chrome and Controls

The Jaguar is Fender's most tonally sophisticated bass, with three gleaming chrome plates housing active/passive, series/parallel and pickup on/off switching, plus dual-circuit volume and tone controls. Other Jaguar Bass models offer other control variations.

Neck and Fingerboard

Most Jaguar Bass models offer the tonal power and versatility of the traditional Jazz Bass dual-pickup configuration. Other models offer Precision/Jazz and humbucking pickup options.
