This was my first ever bought/owned guitar. I asked around both online and friends and local shops. Most said I could find a cheaper guitar for a first in other off brands. I didn't know anything but I knew I wanted a name brand fender, and this Chinese version was the least I could see my self going. Money was an issue to some extent but felt if I spent a fair small amount on a new fender I'd be able to cope . Well at first being a absolute beginner I thought I'd been mistaken. I'm still very green but have time in on the lesson front and can strum a few patterns through a few progressions . Not always clean , so I decided it was partly due to the inexpensive guitar. I went and bought a higher end (mid grade non USA) guild so I could get a better sound. Well I did, but nothing like I expected. This fender I tried to upgrade and sorta messed up a little on still can be held in close relation to my other $800 acoustic. The manufacturing is really done well. There's a slight fret dressing that probably would help , as I can feel some sharpness and can get the high E hung up when really" into it". But I don't think it's absolutely necessary. It may be my inexperience too. This is a solid first guitar that one can have some pride in and yet not panic when taking it out of your home. The less than 5 stars above are only because in those categories there nothing wrong but nothing new either. Lol not really fair of me but I couldn't just rate all 5's when there are so many superb guitars (for big bucks) that I needed to leave room for them to be rated higher. Bottom line if your a seasoned pro or way above beginner this guitar would be for use when you don't want your "baby" in harms way. But I don't think you'll be dissatisfied either. For a beginner to early amateur this is your baby, you'll be happy.
