More about Pawn Shop '70s Stratocaster® Deluxe

Players continue to praise the Pawn Shop Series for evoking the more eccentric Fender creations of the mid-'60s to mid-'70s while delivering thoroughly modern sound and quality with a wealth of various Fender elements. The Pawn Shop Series introduces yet another pleasingly unconventional assortment of "guitars that never were but should have been," in which new models take the stage and long-vanished classics return in modern form.

Definitely not your average Stratocaster , the Pawn Shop '70s Stratocaster® Deluxe guitar is one of the most unusual takes ever on the world's most archetypal electric guitar, with a pronounced 1970s style and vibe. For one-of-a-kind tonal versatility, its alder body houses a Telecaster single-coil neck pickup and a fearsome Enforcer™ Wide Range humbucking bridge pickup with smaller chrome cover.

Other distinctive features include a "U"-shaped maple neck with 22 medium jumbo frets, 9.5" radius and "bullet" truss rod; four-ply white pearloid pickguard; three-way blade pickup switching and two Jazz Bass control knobs (volume, tone); '70s-style hard-tail Stratocaster bridge and vintage-style "F" tuners.

Ringing the Bell

(5.0)
Hubs1 on June 18, 2013 (updated June 21, 2013)
Semi-Professional Blues R&B Funk Jazz Rock Classic Rock

Not only is she a beauty, she also plays and sounds like a ringing bell.
The neck pickup alone can deliver a jazz tone that sounds like an old jazz guitar — full and rich of tone with a sweet attack. But when you switch to the bridge pickup, the enforcer ... She cries, sings and lets you play all kind of Rock music. Only Metal freaks might not be happy with it. But, I don't play Metal. Maybe she could though?

The finish is exceptional. No need to manage something on tuning, playability or intonation.

If anyone gets the chance to try them out, do it.You won't be disappointed.

Well done,Fender!
