After trying a lot of different models and even different brands I found this beauty.
It was exactly what I was looking for. Great playability, good tone and the best... the price.
I'm so happy and I wouldn't change anything. Great job, Fender!

Out of the box I knew this was special.....
The action needed adjusting slightly for my comfort, but the sound was/is extraordinary and is constantly improving as I play. Even brand new this guitar was stable and spoke both to me and the audience. The only change apart from setting the action - which I regard as normal playing in - was to get myself a shorter whammy bar (the long ones get in my way when I flail about ;) ) To say I'm pleased with this guitar would be an understatement. If I had any criticism at all it would be that the middle pickup alone is very slightly noisy.
Keep making guitars like this Fender!!!

Mine's a blonde Fender texas special strat. Nearly a year old. Apart from a few issues the Fender Strat texas is a beautiful guitar and brilliant value. The setup out of the case is so good you can go straight to a gig or practice and won't be disappointed. Sounds from Fender's texas single coils are sweet, full of character and oh-so versatile, however, the singe-coils' output is quite weak compared to humbuckers. The playability of the strat is good - but nowhere near the easy-sweet Gibson 12 inch radius neck action. The fender holds tune brilliantly and has a wonderful diverse range of sounds, so generally a very cool guitar - people love the Fender sound. Re-stringing the guitar causes problems if you opt for heavy strings – stay with original lighter strings – sounds better, and no bridge shenanigans. I love my Fender texas special strat, no regrets at all.

Have this Strat for about six months. Came perfectly set up. The TS pups are hot. The neck is perfect. The vintage ash blonde finish is beautiful. The only mod I made to this guitar was a set of Fender deluxe locking tuners. They help to keep the gutar in tune longer when using the trem and make string changes super easy. Also bought a Fender/G&G case to protect it. This guitar is awesome no matter what style of music you are into.
