I've been playing since the 70's. I own the Frontman 15G, but the 10 is almost identical. I wanted a small portable practice amp with good sound quality to it, and didn't cost a small fortune. I got the Frontman 15G. The sound quality is Really NICE! It sounds old school. The clean sound is crystal clear and the overdrive is just enough to not make it sound too muddy. Fender has created a lot of new combo amps with a lot of bells and whistles - for example the Mustang amps. I have no patience for that stuff and just wanted the old sound with a lot of overdrive. I used to play the old Pre-CBS fender 100 watt amp through a 4x10 cabinet. What truly surprised me was that even though the Frontman is only 15 watts, I can't play the volume higher than 2 in my room without hurting my already deaf ears. This little monster is freaking LOUD! This one or even the 25 watt model should be perfect for guitarists playing clubs that have their own PA sound systems. It will save you from heavy lifting and is plenty loud for a small stage with your other band members.
I liked this 15 so much that I bought the Frontman 25 as a spare. The price is also very reasonable. For the money, size, sound quality, this one can't be beat. If you're old school and want a traditional sound with only a few knobs, not all the bells and whistles, this is a great value. If you can afford the extra bucks for the Frontman 25, I would say go for it. Otherwise, you won't be disappointed.
