Went looking for a reasonably priced substitute guitar, while on holiday in France, Had my mind set on a Taylor Mini GS. But of course the music shops in the town I was visiting didn't stock them... So I started looking at Fender... Had my eye on a CD 60....Then i spotted this beauty sitting in the corner!
When i picked it up.....it was as if it was made for me! fitted comfortably under my arm! and a really nice finish on it, great to the touch!
The setup is awesome and I've been playing it non-stop since taking her home with me! Got a great sound! Ok i know its a parlour guitar so not the loudest...but for a beginner who does not want to annoy the neighbours ...its perfect!

I was looking for my first real guitar (all I had was a cheap starter kiddy guitar) and went to my local music shop. They had this parlor guitar for 180 bucks in stock and it instantly spoke to me. My Dad has always hated Fender acoustics so I was little weary at first, so I brought him with me. He played it and was amazed how good it sounded. Apparently Fender has someone new in charge of building their acoustics and they are turning out great quality instruments now. Anyways, the tone of this thing is nice and war, and is great for playing country and folk music. But then I started playing power chords, and they sound great on this. This guitar is great for everything from Metallica to Johnny Cash. The playability is fantastic, the tuners are really solid and firm and keep the tuning perfectly, it is very light, looks beautiful, and above all else sounds great.

This guitar is first of all beautiful, now I know people might say what kind of professional are you that start something with the look?! But let me tell you when you bound with a guitar, you become soul mates and therefore you want it to be beautiful, and this very guitar captivated me at the first look. Sound wise it's bright sounded - that does not mean it is sharp though - the neck is fairly enough for most types of playing and for the overall experience grade, I give it a 10/10.
If you're an beginner I suggest this for the price and if a proffesional for its playability.
In one word, its worth it.

This is my first guitar and when I started out I loved it but now that I'm a much more advanced player I'm looking for an acoustic with a fuller sound. It's great for beginners because of the smaller size as well as the remarkable playability, and it stays in tune almost indefinitely. The only bone I have to pick is that I think the tone is a little too bright and light sounding for my taste. I prefer the fuller/deeper sound of a dreadnaught. Otherwise this is a great guitar and the perfect fit for a player who is just starting up.

I have owned this guitar for over a year now, and it has served me well:
From completing over 30 performances, to being signed by the Prime Minister of Australia, the guitar has rarely ever let me down.
The tonality of the guitar is superb, and the volume produced by the guitar will surprise you - in fact, when I perform in small venues, I rarely need to place a pickup in the guitar.
The best feature about this guitar with no doubt is the playability, it's 12" fingerboard radius allows you to glide your fingers up and down the fretboard with ease, which in my case, being a rhythm guitarist, is perfect.
The only downfall of the guitar for me is how easy the strings snap - I have to replace them every 2 weeks. Due to the smallbody of the guitar, my heavy handed strumming unfortunately doesn't suit the guitar in this area, and I regularly replace the strings, and I have spent more on strings than the guitar is actually sold for.
But besides the minor flaw, I would recommend this guitar to any player, from amateur to professional, and would be the first to stand up and say that it is the best Parlor guitar on the market.
Well done Fender, and keep up this beautiful work.

It don't get no more puristic than this - just the bare necessities, no pickups, wires, knobs... Smaller size was a major buying point for me, when I got it I realized it's also lighter, too - an excellent choice if, like I was, you're looking for a smaller, not-too-loud acoustic that you can play anywhere you like at home. I was also very pleasantly surprised with the dimensions of the neck, it's just about the same as on modern Fender Electrics. Gorgeous tuners, beautiful Sunburst Satin finish, the nut and saddle are a nice "Vintage" (yellowish) white color, the pictures don't really do them justice. The only thing I changed were the bridge bins - originally they are plain white and in my view don't harmonize color-wise with the saddle and the nut, so I got rosewood pins with pearl dots matching the ones on the fretboard :-). I've tried various "small & pure" acoustic guitars from other manufacturers, all are gone except the Fender CP-100 - it's a keeper, I LOVE IT!!!
