During rock music's infancy in 1950s, Fender introduced a revolutionary new guitar—the Stratocaster. With its sleekly contoured two-horned body, triple-pickup layout and innovative tremolo bridge, it redefined the possibilities for guitarists everywhere and set the stage for unimagined musical heights to come.
The Classic Series '50s Stratocaster® Lacquer guitar epitomized the instrument in the era of its origin, with an authentic nitrocellulose lacquer finish on its alder body. Other features include a "soft V"shaped tinted maple neck, 7.25"-radius maple fingerboard with 21 vintage-style frets and black-dot inlays, three vintage-style single-coil pickups with staggered alnico pole pieces and five-way switching, single-ply white pickguard, aged control knobs and switch tip, vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge and vintage-style tuners. Tweed case included.

It is a beautiful guitar with a great tone and a comfortable neck.
The nitro lacquer finish is beautiful ... but why Fender chose Candy Apple Red for this classic '50s ?
This color appeared in 1963 in place of Pink Shell ...
it's just a detail .... but for purists !
This guitar is great value and truly fantastic to play. If you are looking for a reasonably priced vintage vibe Strat, look no further. Its Fender doing what Fender do best, making great Stratocaster's.
Also worth a mention is the finish, its the best candy finish I've ever seen. period.

I got this guitar in 2011 and I can tell you that this is an incredible guitar, you can have a lot of different tones, you can play pretty much anything on this!

I played both the 50s and 60s lacquer strats at the local shop. They play and sound amazing. I love them both. My only gripe is the lack of color choices. If I were to buy the 50s model it would have to be in a burst. I would buy the burst 60s too but a few color choices would be nice. Seafoam Green anybody?
I've had this guitar for almost a month now and I can most definitely say it's a keeper. The finishing on it is great, one of the best looking & well made guitars I've seen from Fender for ages, that 50s vibe is there in spades and the tone is excellent. I love it!
Niggles? Not too much. The neck is slightly sticky, you expect a little of that with nitro necks, but it is gradually 'playing in' and losing that stickiness. I've changed the pickguard to a parchment one, that slightly off white colour suits it better than brilliant white, imo.
But all in all, the job's a good 'un. Nice one Fender!

Bought this one today, this guitar is already a True classic.
The neck is gorgeous, though a bit sticky during the first few doodlings...
Big Bang for the bucks, it comes with a worthy tweed case that has a 130$ value..
To be played through a fender amp!

I bought this beauty last week. It's amazing, sounds extremely good, excellent features and a very comfortable neck. You can play it for hours and hours and you won't be tired at all. Outstanding pickups, stay tuned without much care. If you are in post-rock, shoegaze, surf rock, classic rock, this's the guitar for you, and look at the price!

Given the choice between this guitar and an American Vintage 56 I went with this beauty. It's unbelievably gorgeous, plays and sounds like a dream, it's an incredible value, I can't get over the quality of this guitar.

This guitar seems to be great in every aspect, but for me the only issue is that there is only one color. 2 tone sunburst would be great!
