Squier’s Vintage Modified Cabronita Precision Bass comes out swinging with pulse-pounding tone, sultry-yet-simple style and a welcome dose of feisty Cabronita attitude. Might have something to do with its single powerful Fideli’Tron humbucking bass pickup.
Other features include a maple neck with “modern C” profile, comfortable 9.5”-radius maple fingerboard with 20 medium jumbo frets, single-ply white pickguard, dual knurled flat-top control knobs (master volume, master tone), four-saddle Hi-Mass bridge, and vintage-style tuners. Available in only one formidable color—Black.

Nice bass for all simple rock & hardrock/stoner applications... Looks & plays super; big tone and sustain thanks to baswood body and 50 headstock.. (more mass does mean more tone!). The Fideli-Tron pickup is softly & mellow; no high output here... but it works excelent in conjunction with overdrive/dist./fuzz-pedals. This bass is my main stoner-hardrock bass. Strung with some (dunlop) 0.60-0.80-100-120 strings in C-G-C-F tuning, itll rock every place its needed.
This bass has great tone, punch, balance, and sustain. The punch is similar to a Classic Vibe 50's BAss (SCPB, Telecaster Bass), but the Fideltron is hum cancelling! It really has a lot of presence with a full, fat tone, even with round-wound strings.

The only change I made to mine was to add a set of flatwound strings. This bass effortlessly makes beautiful vintage/classic rock bass sounds and plays like a dream. I have 4 Vintage Modified basses and this has quickly become my favorite.
