When i was 11 i bought this bass off a friend and kept it for about three years until the pre-amp broke while trying to replace the battery. But with that old, beat up, dirty white fender i learned i was a natural at bass, able to pluck, slap, and strum faster with my fingers than some can with a pick. Anyway, all i have to say is, if you have a young bass player, are a Sex Pistols fan, hate Nazis and like the connection it has to one getting beat up, or just like a low cost, but definitely not cheaply made bass, this is for you. Even now, six years later, i wish i never sold mine.
I buy Squier guitars and basses and mod them for fun. This one probably will stay stock for a long time because the pickup arrangement is like a regular p-bass with a throttle wide open for the jazz pup tone. It's deep and non-muddy, as well as high and not tinny where I need the tones I want. Setup was near perfect out of the box and except for a string change and very slight intonation adjustments, this baby is way ready to go. I'm NEVER selling this one, it's out of this world solid Chinese manufacturing quality and an excellent backup to my Fender MIM P-Bass.
The finish is top notch, and the overall feel is a hit out of the park. Totally loving this black-on-black model. Can't believe I got it for only $180....just "wow"

I recently had to sell my American P Bass. So yesterday I was at Guitar Center looking for a cheap replacement when I saw The Affinity Precision Bass PJ in Red, ...bought it and I just replaced the strings, set the bridge up a bit and it sounds great. For the money, this can't be beat. It's every bit as nice as my old American P Bass, and then some. This bass may be inexpensive, but it's not cheap. It's a bargain for a quality instrument.

I needed something i could beat on for my new band. I was looking for something cheap and for live situations. This bass is perfect! i bought mine at a local music store and i fell in love with it at first play. China is getting really good at making products for fender/squier! this thing sings! It is very adjustable in tone. the neck feels great. its just an all around great bass! this is going to be my workhorse for a long time. I will probably end up picking another one of these up in the near future! I know i sound kind of like a dink talking this bass up...however, i own a fender American standard jazz bass along with a fender modern player jazz bass. I just find this to be a lot of bass at a very very very reasonable price! I am just saying don't pass this one one up! if you can!

i bought an early model one of these, it was my first bass, the sound and versatility of this bass is beyond reality. It has a 1 piece maple body, sunburst finish and comfortable weight. I would strongly recommend this bass to beginners and professionals alike. My band's producer has even offered to buy mine but i can't give such a bass, because it's one of the best squiers around. don't let the name fool you because these basses are as good as any fender
