This bass was willed to me, This is a nice bass, I'm not a fretless guy, so I actually would not have bought it. I also received this bass under extremely heartbreaking circumstances. I changed out the pickguard and knobs to change the look. This is a well balanced bass, the rosewood slab is very light in color with a nice swirl pattern. The bass is vintage white which has yellowed nicely from being in a house that was full of smokers, I added a red-shell pickguard so it looks like something from 1963.
The pickups have a great tone and the controls have a great taper to them. The pickups are a bit on the weaker low output side, but I have a big amp. This is a comfortable bass to play. I find it useful on several songs.
I prefer fretted basses, but this little guy has a permanent home

I have the one with the black body.
It is well built. Sounds good. Hardware is good, no problems with tuning and it stays tuned very well,
I like the parchment pickguard, it gives the bass something extra.
The neck feels slim and fast.
