Based on Tim Armstrong’s beat-up old ’60s Fender® acoustic - on which he writes all of the songs for his legendary punk band, Rancid - the Tim Armstrong Hellcat acoustic is ready to slam. Armstrong has given his acoustic some modern mojo with pearl acrylic "Hellcat" logos on the third, fifth and seventh frets, with a pair of skulls adorning the twelfth fret. Other features include a solid mahogany top, scalloped bracing and Fishman®Tim Armstrong Hellcat Acoustic preamp.

I'm a self-taught punk rocker (Joe Strummer was my guitar-hero) and have always owned and played electrics (81' black & gold tele; les paul std; fender p-bass). This was my first acoustic and I couldn't be happier. The Hellcat plays and sounds awesome. My guitar is a '09 and is well constructed, holds its tuning and best of all, required little set-up from my guitar tech. The action for me is very comfortable, plays easy and has a surprisingly robust sound for a smaller bodied acoustic. The accents are pretty cool too w/ the "Hellcat" logo in lieu of dots. Personally, I don't think you can beat the quality for the price. The Hellcat is quickly becoming my "Old Friend" and of course there's nothing quite like playing your punk favorites on an acoustic... 5 Stars baby - yeah!

I have owned my Hellcat for 2 years and would never get rid of it! It has great playability with it's slim body design and the cool looks that turns heads (well that is a bit much). Tonally, it does not stack up to a Martin or Taylor but for the price it does not hurt the wallet! It has all solid wood construction and great electronics. I feel it sounds better plugged in to my PA or acoustic amp but again, this is a fun guitar to play! It is my go to Open Mic and gigging guitar!

This was my first acoustic-electric guitar and I love it. It's the guitar I grab most often whether I'm just noodling around or jamming with some friends. It's very playable and the size makes it convenient. Plus the price point and the durability means I can take it with me to a friend's house, camping or anywhere without having to worry over every little thing. It's not my sweetest sounding guitar but it certainly gets the job done and I've gotten a lot of compliments about the look.
