Classic Vibe Stratocaster® '50s

Model : 030300
The Classic Vibe Stratocaster® '50s provides unmistakable '50s-era Fender® vibe and tone. The alder body has a Two-Color Sunburst, Fiesta Red or Olympic White finish. The vintage-tint gloss-maple neck has a maple Fingerboard with 21 medium-jumbo frets and a modern 9.5" radius. That long-familiar tone comes from a custom set of alnico III single-coil pickups, clear and bright, with terrific sustain even in crunch mode. Custom staggered polepieces provide improved string-to-string balance.

Strat that rocks

I recently bought this guitar, and I am quite satisfied! I tried a few Strats before choosing this one, but is is definitely the one that rocks for the price. I tried a few cheaper Fender Strats (MIM Standard, Balcktop), but I really liked this one better. High quality sunburst finish, real Strat sound, very comfortably trem system. Great action, the 'C' shaped maple neck is fast as lightning. Even using the trem very often the guitar stays in tune! Until buying this instrument I wasn't really convinced that there's a remarkable difference between cheaper and more expensive Squiers, but believe me there is! The CV series is closer to the lower-end Fenders including Classic series. It's even better than some of them...

This is a very playable and great sounding guitar for the price. The one I purchased had perfect intonation right out of the box! The action was great. It needed no additional set up. I love this guitar.

Classic Vibe Stratocaster 50's review

(5.0)
kristiangullner on February 19, 2013
Amateur Blues

First of all i would just like to point out that i don't own this particular instrument, but since i've played it a several times i am now planing a purchase of it.

DESIGN: When i first saw this guitar i was kinda worried about the Squier label since i referred to that as a guitar label you first start to play on. Like something you can get at a supermarket. But just by holding the guitar, even as a beginner, you can totally feel that the classic vibe series is really good quality guitars. Classic Vibe is a the absolute top of the Squier series and i would genuinely question wherever or not you can tell the difference (in terms of build quality) of a classic vibe and a similarly priced fender. (The alder body for example has the same material as the standard strat). The testament that this is a great guitar is that bands like Biffy Clyro plays these guitars.
And as i am writing about the design i would just like to point out that i like the classic colors of the pickups, however i would liked to have a deeper tone on the 2 color sunburst. Perhaps a 3 color? Well that's just me. The c-shape neck is also really nice to hold onto and it has nice big frets.

SOUND: The CV has that classic strat sound, you really get that crisp 50-60s sound with the different pickups which you have the availability to use in 5 ways (out of phase sounds between the pickups) with the switch. So there is so much of variety in tone to chose between. So in overall i think that the pickups are really amazing.
Personally i think that the only downside is that the whammy isn't fully functional since it is bolted down, it just for show..

CONCLUSION: This is a guitar with amazing quality level and i think that it is perfect for Amateurs/Beginners who feel that they want to spend that little extra on a guitar that they feel is really nice. I personally am getting this guitar since it looks so damn good. I want to be around a guitar that i feel i just want to pick it up and play it every time i walk past it. As far as how it sounds i can't really compare it to anything since i haven't played for more than three years (just have an acoustic guitar) but the sound is as mentioned great. The guitar is also very easy to play with a very comfortable smaller c-shaped neck and frets with nice space.
Just by holding this guitar in the store and playing a couple of songs i instantly felt that this is a must have guitar for me, as my first electric guitar. (it is also labeled as a fender on the guitar stock (the head) so you know that it is good quality when they put their name there.)
