I picked the Ramparte up yesterday from my local store and I have to say, wow! The look is just priceless and equally matches the more high end 'vintage handwired Clapton tweed amps'.
Now I must say don't be fooled into thinking your getting an amp with loads of features and this amp is designed to be easy to use and quick to start playing.
I use my Fender Mexican Telecaster a long with this amp and the two pair great together.
Now negatives, whilst the 'Cool input' is excellent and has just the right sweet spot, the 'Hot input' is somewhat lacking, however I was looking for a clean amplifier and I couldn't be disappointing.
For a good distorted tone I simply use a DS-1 running through a BD-2 and these pedals work great through the Ramparte.
Overall you're buying an amp for the price of a few pedals and you get what you pay for, yes it lacks more tone options but overall I'd match the clean sound to that of a Hod Rod deluxe/ Blues Junior and the amp looks a lot more appealing too.
Well done Fender on a beautiful little amp!

I just picked up this little 9 watt amp today and although I haven't had too much time to spend with it I believe I can safely say that "It comes as advertised". I'm not sure what other people are expecting when they purchase a product like this - at the price point that it is. For me it is ideally suited to my needs for this particular amp. It is used in a small studio / recreational room environment but I'm sure it could be used in larger rooms if mic'd. The "voicing" of the amp is pretty much "bang on" as advertised and demonstrated through the first few "YouTube" videos that exist at this point in time. The "cool" channel is fairly clean but not very bright - a feature that I like. The "hot" channel has more volume and gain (hence the name "hot") and seems to have more treble. I am hooking up a number of different Strat's and Telecasters and so far, everything sounds just fine. I haven't tried many pedals yet but plan to work those in as well. Owning a number of differnt amps like many players I think you have to take some time to match guitars, amps and effects. They don't always like each other. This amp seems to be generally very "friendly" and I think I'm not going to have any issues with any of my other gear. For my money - this amp "comes exactly as advertised".

As soon as I saw this in stores, I was so excited to try one. I've been searching YouTube for videos on it, reading forums, reviews, etc. but nothing! So when I actually got the opportunity to try one, I didn't hesitate. This could have been the amp of my dreams: stupid easy to use, low wattage, nice and light, and looks that will make any head turn. Unfortunately after plugging several different guitars into it, I was disappointed. Everything sounded "boxy" and was nearly impossible to get a tone that I would want to use. The one decent sound I got out of it was a 50's reissue MIJ Stratocaster on the bridge pickup, going into the cool channel. I got some half decent country tones out of it, but still nothing to boast about. To sum it all up, I'm more then a bit disappointed in this amp, and hoping Fender will go back to the drawing board, get this amp out of the "boxy" category and into "the amp I can't do without" category! I believe in you Fender!
