I just recently purchased this guitar. I had no intention of doing so when i went into the shop. After trying out what I thought I wanted, I picked this up just because it was looking at me, played it, fell in love and put my original choice back on the wall. It plays great and looks awesome. I beat the heck out of this thing and it stayed in tune and kept on rocking. I hate the super shiny neck though. It was a little sticky but other than that this one played great right from the jump. I'm going to get one for my son now.

For an entry level guitar, this thing Rocks!!! A bit on the heavy side, but it has some killer tones. I would like to see less gloss on the neck, but nothing a little .000 Steel Wool won't cure.

Got this guitar back in December. My first telecaster and defiantly not my last. Traded my previous guitar in to get it and I can say that it was worth it. The finish on the guitar is amazing and the range of tone you can get from the pick ups has a lot of variety. Over the past few months I haven't been able to put it down!
The only thing I can find that's wrong with it is the gloss finish on the neck is a bit too thick for my taste, that's all!

I went to the store to get an HSS American Special and walked away with this instead. For $400 less I feel like I got more guitar than the Special. The only problem I have with it is the action is high and the adjustment I did didn't actually bring it any lower before it started buzzing. That said, it's still amazingly easy to play. Just purchased today and I've been playing it all afternoon and can't seem to put it down. Very happy with the purchase overall.

Finish is flawless, playability couldn't be better for me - I LOVE the thin maple neck - and with an upgrade bridge-humbucker (seymour duncan in my case) this guitar must not hide behind much more expensive models... I think "crafted in china" will be a hard competitor for MIM (although I don't care where its made as long it sounds and feels great).

I was initially put off even trying this Guitar because it was made in China but the salesman convinced me to give it a go, firstly the construction and finish are flawless and just as good as you would find on any Guitar for twice the price, the neck is really comfortable and fast. The pickups are obviously not the best at this price but they do the job and the switching options allow a range of usable tones, the Guitar is good enough as it is but would also make an excellent base for modding. Don't be put off by the "Crafted in China" give one a try and you might be as surprised as me.

Striking Appearance

A beautiful looking guitar. This was my first Tele, and probably my last. I have always been, and always will be, a Strat lover. The pine body is ok, but heavy. I would try to play it first before you buy based on appearance alone. Personally, I was not very happy with the guitar. It will probably be listed soon on Craigslist.

Great guitar! It is comfortable to play and has a great sound. The only flaw I can find in it is the cable plug-in -- I continually have to tighten it. Other than that minor inconvenience, I absolutely love playing this guitar.

Very versatile, with many possibilities in different musical genres. Very solid, with a very good resonance, with a very good arm to play. The humbucker detail that makes the difference.

Affordable good guitar, as it says on the tin

When i first saw the news about this soon to be released guitar I thought it could be a good jake-of-all-trades. I bought as soon at it was released in a local store.
At first it looks strange, due to the pick up configuration and the Crafted in China was a little scary.
on first look the guitar is gorgeous, the overal quality if construction matches (and maybe exceeded) mine 2011 Standard Stratocaster (Made in Mexico).
The neck is a joy to play, the "belly" contour make it really confortable and the pick ups configuration allows me to bring onley one guitar to rehearsals and gigs.

The finish is not that good, as with really light dings the paint flys away (this doesen't happen on my Stratocaster) but you couldn't expect more for the price.

I think this is an awesome entry level guitar, even will work as a giging weapon.

SWEET GUITAR

I bought this guitar back in August of 2012 and could not be any more pleased with it. From the warm tones of the front pick up to the meaty grind of the split-tail humbucker it has it all. The tones and sustain are amazing. The neck plays like it's worn out and that's great. The transparent paint just makes it that much cooler! For anyone wanting a good telecaster at an affordable price this is the guitar for you.

I bought this Tele about two months ago and couldn't be happier. The combination of wood (maple neck, pine body) and pick-ups is very well chosen, and I love the tonal versatility and playability of this Guitar! The neck and Middle pick-ups are extremely nice sounding (for my taste), in particular the middle Strat pickup has a beautiful bright shimmer. The flexibility of the pickup selections is just what I need to make this my workhorse ;-)
I have experimented with several string types in the past weeks, and the pure blues from DR, Cobalt slinky (Ernie Ball) as well as the Jazz Light Chromes all work very well with the Guitar.
I have really only one minor beef: The Bridge humbucker can be a bit 'shrill' in the single coil configuration, and I need to change tone, single coil switch, and or pick-up selection when I use this option. Other than that I am more than happy. Typically, I end up using the bridge single coil in combination with the middle bridge to balance the tone. I wonder if a pearly gates Seymour Duncan would be a good choice in this position?

I must say I am also very impressed with the level of craftsmanship coming out of China, this guitar was flawless when I received it. GREAT bang for the buck!
