Modern Player Jaguar®

Model : 0241300

Throughout its history, Fender® has always made a special point of welcoming new players to the family by offering entry-level instruments of remarkable style and substance (such as the Duo-Sonic™, Mustang® and Musicmaster™ models), with great sound, classic looks, solid performance and eminent affordability. The Modern Player series continues that great my-first-Fender tradition, with thoroughly modern features and several distinctively unconventional new takes on our most revered instruments-all with outstandingly attainable value.

The Modern Player Jaguar® is a lean, mean and stripped-down version of the classic Fender model, with a full-throated pair of single-coil Modern Player MP-90 pickups on a sans-pickguard mahogany body. Other features include a C-shaped maple neck, rosewood fretboard with 9.5" radius and 21 medium jumbo frets, three-way toggle pickup switching, Jazz Bass®-style control knobs, vintage-style Adjusto-Matic™ bridge with anchored tailpiece, vintage-style tuners and nickel/chrome hardware. Available in Two-color Chocolate Burst, Red Transparent and Black Transparent.

I love the tone, playability, as well as the price for this guitar. It was exactly the sound I was looking for. The finish and feel are excellent.

I've been a hollowbody guitar player for years. Recently I decided that I need something solid that can handle all the fuzz I've been using live. I originally wanted something that tonally could be dark enough that the jump wouldn't be so drastically different for my sound. After testing quite a few guitars, this Jaguar seemed to be the best. The heavy body is very dark and thick in sound. The neck is amazingly thin and smooth. The pickups are a bit cleaner that the p-90s that I've been using. But nice enough where I'm not going to replace them for a while. Overall the quality is pretty incredible considering the price point. They few people who have picked it up totally fell in love with it. Two of them being owners of American Fender! I would totally recommend this to anyone who loves Fender but wants a super beefy fat sound! Its all wood.
