Alkaline Trio Malibu™

Model : 0968325

Chicago punks Alkaline Trio jumped in on the design of what must be one of Fender’s most distinctive acoustic guitars ever, the Alkaline Trio Malibu. The instrument takes the classic ’60s-era sun-and-fun Malibu folk-style acoustic and dresses it up with a graceful heart-shaped rosette designed by the band, as seen gracing the cover of 2011 acoustic album Damnesia.

Premium features include a richly resonant all-mahogany body with the aforementioned AT-designed heart-shaped rosette, scalloped X bracing, C-shaped maple Stratocaster® neck with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard, body and neck binding, rosewood bridge with compensated Graphtech® Nubone™ saddle, chrome hardware and gloss neck and body finish.

Great Fun

Nice guitar for everyday playing, when the mood strikes you. The neck and headboard are fantastic: the neck shape especially the fretboard edge, and the lightness of the headboard are super. Nice big sound for a smaller guitar, plus I like the simplicity. Mine is out on the guitar stand every day. I spent years worrying about humidity and cases, and filling humidifiers, to STILL get cracked more expensive guitars. Not any more. I am completely sold on these new laminated guitars. Humidity issues are over! And Fender has mastered the sound. All for a reasonable price.
