Few artists have introduced themselves quite like Gavin Rossdale, who arrived in 1994 as the lead singer of BUSH, a band whose debut album, Sixteen Stone, sold more than 6 million copies on the strength of massive hit singles such as “Everything Zen,” “Glycerine,” and “Comedown.” Fueled by Rossdale’s unmistakable, distinctive vocals and incredible sense of lyrical and melodic savvy, BUSH detonated on impact and quickly became an international juggernaut.

Two years later, they followed with Razorblade Suitcase, an album that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart and featured the blockbuster hits “Swallowed” and “Greedy Fly.” After two more albums – 1999’s The Science of Things and 2001’s Golden State – Bush went on an indefinite hiatus from touring and recording.

In between writing and recording – including guest appearances for Blue Man Group and DT8, and the solo track “Adrenaline” on the XXX soundtrack – Gavin ventured into film, with major roles in the 2005 features Constantine and The Game of Their Lives. He also returned to music scene later that year with a new band, Institute, and their debut album, Distort Yourself. The band toured extensively, including two stints opening for U2.

In 2008, Gavin Rossdale released his first-ever solo album, entitled Wanderlust, which was produced by Bob Rock and included the hits “Love Remains The Same” and “Forever May You Run.” The record marked a new chapter in Gavin’s musical career and featured some of his most personal and powerful songs to date.

In fall of 2011, a reunited BUSH self-released The Sea of Memories, their first studio album in ten years. The album marked the band’s return to the top of the charts, with lead single “The Sound Of Winter” making rock radio history as the first self-released single ever to hit No. 1 on the Alternative Radio Chart (where it stayed for six consecutive weeks). Hailed by Rolling Stone as a 3-star “vital viva-la-grunge manifesto,” The Sea of Memories was produced by Bob Rock (Aerosmith, Metallica) and is the first Bush disc to be released via the band’s own imprint, Zuma Rock Records. The band celebrated the album’s release by launching a headlining tour that saw them playing to packed-house crowds around the world.
