Fender's Vaporizer amp evokes the 1950s-'60s age of the Space Race, when the atom-age world became enthralled with spaceflight and spacecraft. When the wild flights of fancy it launched permeated culture everywhere from film and television to cars, guitars, appliances and more--everything was bright, colorful and flashy. Garage bands blasted off with guitar music, and legions of musicians who couldn't swing pro gear bashed away on department-store guitars and amps.
The Vaporizer amp blasts you like a ray gun back to that exciting era. Affordable and out of this world, it would've been right at home aboard a Mercury capsule and down in the backyard fallout shelter. It would've been stumbled on decades later in some pawn shop corner by an unconventional guitarist with an ear for the distinctive and an eye for the stylish. It's the Fender Vaporizer. Stand back!

Okay, so... I have been around for awhile! Let's just say I bought the Rolling Stones LP Big Hits (High Tide and Green Grass) in 1966 and I bought it in Mono because my Philips transistor record player didn't have stereo capabilities. I was 6 years old and when I saw Brian Jones holding that Rickenbacker... That's when I knew what I wanted to do when I grew up.
I grew up on tube amps! Loved them and still do! My best friend had a Sears Silvertone and this Vaporizer reminds me of that amp so much! Ya see? Back in those days we had to sound cool without processors and all that garbage they have now. We used sheer talent and something else so many have forgotten about... Dynamics.
Anyways, about this amp! It sounds awesome! Reminds me of what Jimmy Page might have played through, an amp like a Supra. Plug in your guitar and use your volume knob and there ya go. 2-4 nice warm clean sound crank your volume up to 7 and you have a nice warm crunch then open her up to 10 and you have total lead gain but wait... hit the "Vaporizer" button and go into "Vaporizer" mode and talk about a Spinal Tap moment! This amp is killer and anyone that is serious about recording or sounding too cool at a jam night, this is the amp for you! 12 watts of sheer tube madness! Heh Heh! I am going to install a 10" green back and a 10" (SECRET) and OMG! Watch out! I'll be kicking everyone in this areas arse with total tubal tone!
Good Gawd! Just google a Vaporizer and see what I am talking about!
Fender, is there any way you could make one of these that would be at least 6db louder? It's one of the best amps Y'all have ever created!

I have a Fender GDEC 30 and was looking for something that was more simple to use and still offered a great sound. I always wanted a tube amp and something unique. Then I found the Vaporizer. I jumped at the opportunity to buy mine at my local Guitar Center. I picked mine up last night in Rocket Red and I am very pleased. The amp is very sensitive and has great attack. The tones I can get out of it are amazing, especially with my array of MXR pedals. It's great for blues and rock. The reverb is very good and I love the feature of being able to run the amp off the reverb alone. That's great for late night jamming. I can also run the amp into a PA system or something of that sort by unplugging the main speakers of the amp. Overall I love this amp!! I highly recommend it!

Mine arrived today in surf green, goes with my USA standard and deluxe V neck strats. The sound is stunning and the looks.............
I have been looking for a replacement for my 1975 Princeton Reverb, (with a factory JBL),...and the Vaproizer is the ticket...great price (Local store), and classic Fender sound, from the moment I pluged into this Retro-looking amp, the sounds of Rock came pouring out...clean mind you, but a very cool sound. I play small gatherings, and this is the amp for me,..not too big and can hold it's own when pushed, thanks Fender for another classic example of USA made products.
I tried one out today at the local music store. Love the sound! This is the most perfect amp for blues! It's simple to use. I've sold my Super Sonic 22 combo to get this. The sound with my Tele is awesome!
I saw this at my local music store and plugged in a few Tele and Strat guitars both single coil and buckers. My favorite sound was with a Squier Affinity Telecaster. That Vaporizer pass through was awesome. I want to buy two and stereo them together. I love it when you can find a tone you like without pedals. The value is great. My Blues Jr. Is great and this sounds better in my opinion. I like them both. Well done Fender.
I sat down with this amp at a local music store and was blown away by the simplicity and the tone of this little 12w tube amp. If you long for that late 50's / early 60's tone, then this amp delivers. I found the 2x10" speaker configuration perfect for this amp. The spongy, chimney, punchy rounded tone of the speakers compliment the EL84 tubes perfectly. Although you could probably upgrade the speaker and achieve louder volumes and even better tone, I like the sound of the stock amp. Now remember its only $399, which I think is a great deal once you hear the sound of the amp. I saw the promo video and thought the amp was going to land around $699-$999 range.
I have a Blues Deluxe Reissue and now think that this 12w will replace my 40w at most gigs in smaller venues. The vaporizer breaks up nicely and holds great cleans. It takes pedals easily. I am using a Lovepedal HH Twin Tweed pedal with it and it sounds amazing. I was actually going to build a Twin Tweed low power for about $950-$1100 - but after hearing this amp and the price tag of $399 I can get all the tones I want out of it and its very similar to those old amp sounds.
Thinking of buying another and using one in front of me as a monitor and one behind.
Do yourself a favor if you like that old sound get one of these amps. Remember made in China, keeps the price down but upgrading your speakers and tubes will change this amp big-time!
Biggest plus is it looks killer!
- I play Blues Rock style music to classic rock riff rock using Stratocasters
