A spirited guitar now joins the Modern Player family. The Modern Player Mustang® guitar features the model's classic 24" scale, dual pickup slider switches (on-off-phase) and floating bridge with dynamic vibrato tailpiece. But it’s also tricked out with modern mods such as dual Modern Player MP-90 single-coil pickups and a 9.5"-radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets.
Other features include a pine body, maple neck with "C"-shaped profile, four-ply aged white pearloid pickguard, vintage-style black plastic Jazz Bass® control knobs, and vintage-style Mustang tremolo arm. Available in Daphne Blue and Honey Burst.

The modern player Fender Mustang is by far my favourite guitar. For the price, you get so much back and I've never not enjoyed playing this guitar. Considering it's associated with grunge music mainly, I've managed to use it for a few different styles of music including blues-rock, so it's really durable. Most of all, i love how compact and small it is, it's like a small, sleek battle tank. All of my friends are jealous too I might add.

I purchased this guitar a few weeks ago from my local GC. After a couple weeks of trying to get this beast to stay in tune, I have given up and I am ready to take the guitar back and get a refund. The original Mustang would never stay in tune and neither does this one or any of the other Mustangs with the same vibrato bar I would imagine. This guitar sounds and plays phenomenal; but it completely tanks because of that old school vibrato bar. You would think after 50 years they would have figured it out? It's just sad.
