Bob Morris’s guitar classes were filled with kids – and excitement. In just one semester after attending a guitar workshop hosted by MENC/GAMA/ NAMM (http://www.guitaredunet.org), Becker Middle School teacher Bob Morris, was able to implement a guitar program that grew from 60 students a day to over 270 students a day. He did this by developing a curriculum that was fun for students and that attracted those who might not otherwise have participated in school sponsored arts programs. Since that semester, Bob’s pilot program has been adopted by more than 45 schools in the Clark County School District of Las Vegas, Nevada. In June of 2002, Bob was named Director, Music Education for Fender Musical Intrument Corporation. Let Bob help you put together a guitar program in your school district and let’s get more kids interested in the arts!
