Good for practice use, but nothing more

I got this amp in a package deal at guitar center. To start with it was a nice amp, but it quickly went downhill. The buzz and feedback just during idling is ungodly, the gain is shoddy, and the workmanship is okay. But on the upside It's incredibly simple, portable, and pretty durable. But not something I would use again in a performance.

Perfect bedroom amp on a budget!

The Fender Frontman 10G is a really great affordable bedroom amp. It is small and portable, light and easy, clean and serene.
Features:
The features of this amp is just volume, tone, overdrive, auxiliary input, and headphone input . It's a simple plug and play amp that is perfect for the casual shredder, amateurs and beginners. You can also take your mp3 player and hook it to the amp and shred with your favourite song. The headphones input is surely one of the best feature with this amp, because I live in an apartment and I, as a considerate guitarist, like to play it soft.
Design:
The design for the amp is so simple, that a monkey could learn how to operate this thing. It's also very sturdy. I personally have never dropped it before but it does feel really firm in the hands.
Ease of use:
It's really easy. If you know how to move your hands clockwise and counter-clockwise. You're set.
Sound:
Clean is amazing on this thing. I don't really know how to explain it further, It's really that good. Overdrive on the other hand is okay. Just okay. I would give the sound a 5 star but the overdrive isn't that good. Also this amp can get LOUD! It could fill a small hall if it needed to.
Value:
The value on this thing is really great! You can bag one on Amazon for $80 new and $50 used. It's actually really good for its price
4/5 stars because it is really easy to use, simple features, bang for your buck, and the clean tone is cleaner than Tony Shalhoub from that Monk TV series back in 2002.
Would I recommend this to a friend on a budget? Yes. If I lost this, would I buy it again? No. I'd probably go for the Frontman 25G when I have more money.

I've been playing since the 70's. I own the Frontman 15G, but the 10 is almost identical. I wanted a small portable practice amp with good sound quality to it, and didn't cost a small fortune. I got the Frontman 15G. The sound quality is Really NICE! It sounds old school. The clean sound is crystal clear and the overdrive is just enough to not make it sound too muddy. Fender has created a lot of new combo amps with a lot of bells and whistles - for example the Mustang amps. I have no patience for that stuff and just wanted the old sound with a lot of overdrive. I used to play the old Pre-CBS fender 100 watt amp through a 4x10 cabinet. What truly surprised me was that even though the Frontman is only 15 watts, I can't play the volume higher than 2 in my room without hurting my already deaf ears. This little monster is freaking LOUD! This one or even the 25 watt model should be perfect for guitarists playing clubs that have their own PA sound systems. It will save you from heavy lifting and is plenty loud for a small stage with your other band members.
I liked this 15 so much that I bought the Frontman 25 as a spare. The price is also very reasonable. For the money, size, sound quality, this one can't be beat. If you're old school and want a traditional sound with only a few knobs, not all the bells and whistles, this is a great value. If you can afford the extra bucks for the Frontman 25, I would say go for it. Otherwise, you won't be disappointed.
