Der Jazz Bass erhielt 1964 einen noch schmaleren Ahornhals mit „C“-Profil. Es sollte auch das letzte Jahr sein, in dem die lehmfarbenen Bundmarkierungen angeboten wurden. Natürlich ist dies auch beim neuen American Vintage ’64 Jazz Bass so, der mit zahlreichen weiteren authentischen Ausstattungsmerkmalen glänzen kann, wie unter anderem mit einem Palisandergriffbrett in „Round-Laminated”-Ausführung mit 20 Bünden im Vintage-Style und lehmfarbenen Bundmarkierungen, dem dreilagigen, weißen Pickguard (mit vierlagigem Pickguard in Braun bei Modellen mit den Finishes Three-Color Sunburst und Olympic White), neuen American Vintage ’64 Jazz Bass Single-Coils, einer weiter unten angebrachten Fingerauflage, einem Steg im Vintage-Style mit „Barrel“ Gewinde-Stegeinlagen, schwarzen Kunststoff-Reglern, "Reverse" Stimmmechaniken, verchromten Abdeckungen für die Tonabnehmer sowie einer verchromten Stegabdeckung mit aufgeprägtem „F“ Logo und einer zusätzlichen Gurtbefestigung auf der Rückseite der Kopfplatte. Erhältlich in Three-Color Sunburst, Olympic White, Lake Placid Blue (Kopfplatte in Korpusfarbe) und Black.

Great Bass, just a tad expensive

*Tone, design and looks are great.
*Neck slightly more prone to warping than thicker (US standard) necks.
*Sunburst looks fantastic, much better than the brownish tone of most other jazzes.
*Price point is quite high, so be VERY sure to compare multiple basses before buying.

GReat BASS. I loved this. I did add a GIBSON HUMBUCKING for my variation of tone quality for studio use. Great bass - love the scale and tone.
