Watch Duran Duran’s A View to a Kill at Coachella

’80s New Wave icons Duran Duran, who recently released their 13th studio album All You Need Is Now, played Coachella for the first time on Sunday night, preceding the Strokes and Kanye West on the main stage.

“We are the band that’s designed to make you party,” hollered singer Simon Le Bon during their finale, which segued from “Girls on Film” to a cover of Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face.”

Although they are 30 years into their career, Duran Duran indeed brought the party, winning over a younger Coachella audience with their spirited set.  Watch their final number, and my personal favorite, 1985 synth-pop hit “A View to a Kill.”
