Arizona native Dierks Bentley is giving back to his hometown this Saturday by hosting the “Miles & Music for Kids” celebrity motorcycle ride and concert in Phoenix.
Bentley has held the event in Nashville for four years now, but this is the first year he’s taking his fundraiser out on the road; The Valley is the first of six communities outside of Music City that Bentley plans to stage the celebrity ride and concert.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Phoenix Children’s hospital, a Children’s Miracle Network hospital.
Joining Bentley for a post-ride jam at Tempe Marketplace will be Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, Jessi Colter and Stoney LaRue.
“Everyone gets a little mini set, and then hopefully we’ll all come out at the end to do something together,” Bentley told the Arizona Republic about the concert. “I try to keep it as down-home as possible. People can be up close, yell out requests, keep it loose and casual. It will be more acoustic, a chance to see us in a way that we usually don’t play.”
