Jordan Wagner of Premier Guitar magazine put together a lengthy and informative review of the Fender Sonic Youth Signature Jazzmasters.
“In the case of the Sonic Youth Jazzmasters, it seems that constant experimentation and devotion can lead to the discovery that the simplest approach is often the best,” writes Wagner. “The necks are great, the pickup combinations are highly distinct and the playability of both is enormous. Each model comes with a hardshell case and some great case candy: a cable, strap, a magazine with tales from their guitar techs over the years, and a nifty sticker sheet with designs from the guitarists. For those searching for a great, stripped-down Jazzmaster (or just a solid Fender in general), the Sonic Youth Signature Jazzmasters are a refreshing alternative.”

Analog War Cry, an online blog dedicated to hunting out and then promoting rare, unique and wonderful musical gear, has reviewed the Fender Blender as part of their Fuzz Week series: a collection of unique and superb fuzz boxes.
The review reads: “Sometimes a pedal comes along that doesn’t necessarily belong to any one music era or sound, it just sounds good period. Well here is a chance for all you pedal hounds to truly get a taste at a timeless classic, a fuzz box that will deliver forever more.”

Purchase the latest issue of Guitar World Magazine featuring Lynyrd Skynyrd on the cover and check out the review of the new Bassman TV Ten and TV Fifteen amps on page 160.
It’s an extremely detailed review worth a full read, but in the “Bottom Line” section, reviewer Ed Friedland writes:
“The Fender Bassman TV Series amps deliver good old-fashioned tone with modern dependability. While they’re an ideal way to get vintage tones in your practice and rehearsal space, within the boundaries of their power/size class, these combos perform exceptionally well onstage.”
For those of you prefer to watch rather than read, the magazine is also accompanied by a CD obtaining a video review.
