This bass is a pro bass, just as good as the Fender ones in looks, feel, and tone. The only thing is you get a Squier headstock decal rather than Fender, and you might have minor issues that are easily fixable, like a loose jack, faulty pot, or slightly uneven frets. I got my frets levelled for $80 and this bad boy now plays better than my Fender jazz bass. The indonesian Fender Squiers are really great quality instruments at any price.

Unbelievably Good!

I needed a new bass and I've always liked the Fender Jazz so I thought I'd give this one a try. I was amazed! Unbelievable tone and playability. I recently had it in the studio, the engineer and I couldn't believe how good it sounded. The bass was completely noise free, no hiss or hum whatsoever. He said he has seen basses costing $3,000 or more that where not as quiet as this one. The Duncan-designed pick-ups are first rate with that unmistakable Jazz sound and tone. This is truly a quality instrument!
