Just one year after five individual musicians from New York, LA and London gathered at an artist commune on the Greek Isle of Crete, indie rock band Grouplove was already being heralded by NME as one of the “Best New Bands of 2010.” Fast forward to 2012 and the LA-based quintet has scored a #1 single “TONGUE TIED,” named a “Greatest Song of the Summer” by Entertainment Weekly, from their September 2011 debut album on Canvasback Music/Atlantic Records, Never Trust A Happy Song. The past two years have seen Grouplove on a non-stop touring schedule hitting Europe, Australia, and North America, both selling out their own headlining shows and performing alongside artists like Florence + The Machine and Foster the People. Grouplove has also gained countless fans after noteworthy performances at major festivals around the globe including Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Reading & Leeds and Glastonbury among others. The band has brought their undeniable energy to national television with raucous live performances on shows including “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “Conan,” and “Today.” Produced by the band’s own Ryan Rabin, Never Trust A Happy Song additionally spawned the band’s top 15 debut single “Colours,” and their latest single “Itchin’ On A Photograph,” which is already climbing the Alternative charts.
