Very Disappointed

I owned an original Deluxe Reverb for many years (22 watts /12" speaker), so I thought this Mustang II v.2 would be an excellent choice
( 40w/12" speaker). I also have a 100w Yamaha, that has always been too powerful for my style, and swore I would never own another 100watt amp. That is why I didn't buy the Mustang III v.2. After watching the promos I assumed that Mustang II would have an LCD screen. It doesn't ! I don't enjoy flying by the seat of my pants in the dark , guessing which settings I'm using. Secondly, I read the extremely minimal instruction manual included in the box, and then read the Fuse basic manual on the internet. It helped a little, but have not as yet hooked it up to the USB port; not convenient for me. Third...one of my guitars is a Rickenbacker 360-12, and after reading how Roger McGuinn uses compression to get his sound, as well as knowing that many rock and blues players use compression, I assumed that compression would be one of the 24 onboard effects. It isn't ! A bunch of goofy sound tricks instead. Most of all, I cannot get a really clean rhythm sound. Even at low volume there is harmonic distortion. I have tried dialing all the rotary pots and effect buttons down to be sure that it's not built in distortion, but still detect harmonic distortion. I would expect this from a 10w/8" speaker amp....but not from a brand new 40w/12" speaker Fender. Very disappointed.

The cleans are great ,the gain and punch is flawless!
It is a budget Amp and yes ,you can gig with it!
The effects are genuine and its really easy to use!
USB connectivity and recording quality is really good.
Also,i own a Tubescreamer ,Wah pedal and a loop pedal .
The response to the pedals is great and i can get the SRV,Hendrix,Mayer and other sounds.
And also the onboard stompboxes are great, tweak them and you can get the tone you want,Mic it up and you're ready to hit the road!

the distorted sound is very bad. the clean sound is ok, but the 57 deluxe is good for 60s blues.

Great little Practice/Bedroom Amp

This is a superb amp for practicing and gives a good selection of tones and features for your money. Its compact size, and versatility makes it a great amp for practice, and whilst i know a tube amp may give a 'warmer, truer sound' in the view of many, i prefer the flexibility offered by these solid state amps.

Great Amp

Amateur Blues Rock Country

I have been searching for awhile now to find a good amp to practice at home with. From all the internet information i found, the best setup would be a tube amp and several different effects pedals. I went to my local guitar center and tried a few amps and found that the tube amps sounded good but were very exspensive. So an employee suggested i try the Fender Mustang 2. I could not believe how good it sounded. It has 24 preset sound effects that can be changed by me or downloaded with the Fender Fuse software so i don"t need to buy any effects pedals. At $200.00 it's the perfect amp for home or to take to a small gig. Thank You Fender !

This amp is excellent! It sounds great from clean to dirty. This amp is good for you if you like experimenting different kinds of tones. Each amp models sounds great and sounds close to the actual amp it simulates! This amp is also good for recording because it has a USB interface which connects to your PC and record low latency and high-quality audio.

I purchased this amp in October 2012 after doing a fair bit of research. I needed a versatile modelling with good quality tone and authentic sounding models. After trialling it in store was more than happy to purchase. I am a teacher and play not only for myself but with school bands. This amp allows me to jump in with the various bands and get right to the sound I need without too much fiddling around or a variety of pedals. Love it.

I bought this amp 2 years ago after reading many reviews and demos. I was impressed by the sound produced by this little amp. It has the capability of reproducing the sounds of many different amps and doing it well. I don't have a lot of room and didn't want to invest in a lot of additional pedals and such. With the Fender Fuse software, I can get the tone I want without the additional hardware. Very impressed. A lot of value for a very affordable cost.

This amp comes with so many different amp settings and effects its unbelievable. Would recommend to a beginner all the way up to my level. Had a problem with the AUX cable and was soon sent another amp.
