I purchased this strap specifically for use with my 2012 Fender American Standard Jazz Bass. I really like a padded shoulder area, and neoprene portion of this strap is perfect. It is nicely firm with a good solid feel, but also stretchy at the same time. It's very comfortable, as it evenly distributes your bass's weight across your shoulder. The neoprene does not shift or slip. A good thing.
Unles you're into slinging your bass around all over the place for show. In that case this is not the strap for you. Also if you like to wear your bass insanely low at or below crotch level, this is not the strap for you.
