This is a very nice stand. I wouldn't recommend an A Frame stand to, say, a headbanger band on a tiny crowded stage, otherwise for any other venue, this electric guitar stand is very good and sturdy. Of course the main reason you're looking at this item is that your electric has a non-traditional shape. That was my primary reason. Next the stand's components had to be safe for my guitar finish. This stand is. As far as adjustments for odd shaped guitars are concerned, the "arms" of this stand are easily movable up and down the frame, and in small enough increments to safely hold your uncoventional axe. I bought it for my cherished Gibson Moderne. In addition, this stand has an extendable neck or body rest fixed on only one side of the A frame. I was disappointed when I first saw that, but honestly you really don't need it unless you're playing a baseball shaped axe (I saw John Fogerty playing one once) in which case it doesn't really matter what side the rest is. Finally this stand's "neck" or back support is also extendable for an even more accommodating and sturdier fit. So this stand is definitely a bargain at the $30 I paid for it and I definitely recommend it.
